Kissing with Confidence (or whoever your heart desires)

With St. Valentine's Day just around the corner, now might be a good time to get your kissy-face on, if you want to get it on. If these don't get you started, you might just have to accept the fact that you belong to the eternally loveless!

The Science of Kissing

'What's in a kiss?' did we hear you ask? When it comes to matters of the heart, who better to ask than a bespectacled nerd apparently versed in the scientific jargon? Big Bang Theory eat your heart out!

Bet he gets loads of babes - unless, of course, he's really into men!

The Kiss by Francesco Hayez (1791-1882)

Il bacio or The Kiss is an 1859 oil on canvass painting by Francesco Hayez (1791-1882) - his best known and generally considered to be his finest work. It has even been described as being "among the most passionate and intense representations of a kiss in the history of Western art."

Its popularity is perhaps reflected in the many representations of it in other works of art. In this painting by Gerolamo Induno from 1862, Hayez's earlier painting can be discerned hanging on the wall.
